South Korean textile major to invest Rs 3,000 crore in Telangana

Major corporations have sped up the process for establishing their factories at the park in response to the State government’s pledge to accelerating work on the creation of textile units at the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park (KMTP) in order to create jobs for people.

According to R Santosh Kumar, zonal manager of Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC), South Korean textile giant Youngone Corporation will participate in this by laying the groundwork for the construction of its factories in January 2023. Five of the plants owned by Youngone Corporation would start production in January 2023, but a further three units would follow in the following year.

The Youngone Corporation produces synthetic jackets, boots, track suits and other apparel used in trekking. As 267 acres of land was allotted for Youngone, the company is planning to invest Rs.3,000 crore.
