Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. (SonaComstar), opened its second-largest manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune.
Customers in India and around the world can purchase driveline goods made at the new plant, which caters to EV and non-EV applications.
The plant will make use of cutting-edge technologies to guarantee the greatest levels of quality and precision in the manufacturing process.
It will be located on 10 acres in Chakan, India’s automobile and manufacturing heartland. In order to fulfil the Company’s sizable and expanding net order book of INR 238 bn, scaling up capacity will be essential.
The manufacturing capacity of the new factory, which is now at 11.8 million gears, is anticipated to increase to 20.1 million differential gears by the end of FY25.
The total investment required for this plant is estimated at Rs 231 crore.
