Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. has moved its activities to a new, larger facility at Plot No. A-78/2, MIDC, Chakan Industrial Area Phase – 2, Wasuli, Pune, Maharashtra, 410501 from its current Pune unit at T-46, MIDC Bhosari Industrial Area, Pune – 411 026, India.
Additionally, the Board has approved spending Rs 529 million to increase this new Pune plant’s capacity from 11.8 million gears to 20.1 million gears by the 2025 financial year.
The new facility can produce gears for both EV and non-EV applications and can serve clients worldwide. As of December 31, 2022, the Firm had a net order book worth Rs 238 billion. To fulfil the large order book, more gear capabilities will be needed.
