In relation to the proposed Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, Larsen and Toubro (L&T) disclosed that it has won a sizable contract.
The commissioning of a Gujarat depot covering over 82 hectares is part of the project allocated by the National High-Speed Rail Corporation, the business stated in a stock exchange statement.
The company has not yet disclosed the order’s value. A significant project is defined by the company as one that costs between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore.
“The buildings and factories business of L&T Construction has secured an order from the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) to construct the Sabarmati Depot (MAHSR – D-2) in Gujarat for the (MAHSR project through a consortium led by Sojitz Corporation, Japan,” the company stated in a release.
