Skechers and Lodha sign MoU for construction of 1.1 million sq feet warehouse

Skechers and Lodha Developers have a contract for the construction of a 1.1 million square foot warehouse and distribution centre at the Lodha Industrial and Logistics Park in Palava.

The project will be carried out by Palava Induslogic 2, where Lodha and a subsidiary of Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing (MSREI) have joined forces to create a warehouse park on a 72-acre tract of land.

The first phase of the new Skechers Distribution Center’s construction will be completed in mid-2023.

The logistics centre, which is planned to be one of the tallest warehouse facilities in India and be built on a single plinth, would be the second-largest National Distribution Center for Skechers in Asia.

It is being designed to be an IGBC Platinum pre-certified building and will also be the first warehouse building in Western India to have FM1 super flat flooring, said Lodha in a presser.
