SJVN Ltd has completed its financial close by signing a financing agreement with Himachal Pradesh State Co-Operative Bank for the development of the 66 MW Dhaulasidh REP (“DSHEP”) in Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur and Kangra districts.
The project has been in the works since May 2021, and it is on track to provide 304 million units of clean hydro power in a 90 percent reliable year from FY 2025-26, at a levelized price of $4.46 per kilowatt-hour. DSHEP’s overall project cost of 688 crores must be funded with an 80:20 debt-to-equity ratio.
Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam, better known as SJVN, is an Indian public sector undertaking involved in hydroelectric power generation and transmission.
It was incorporated in 1988 as Nathpa Jhakri Power Corporation, a joint venture between Government of India and Government of Himachal Pradesh.
