SJVN has won its first 15 MW grid-connected floating solar PV power project at Nangal pond, near village Neilla, district Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.
Through an e-reverse auction sponsored by Solar Energy Corporation of India, SJVN was awarded the project on a Build, Own and Operate basis.
“The firm is working on generating renewable energy to emerge as a significant contributor in accomplishing the government of India’s aim to generate 500 GW electricity from non-fossil sources by 2030,” stated Nand Lal Sharma, CMD.
The development of this project would cost around Rs 100 crore.
SJVN presently owns 11 solar power projects with a combined capacity of 2965 MW in various phases of construction, totaling more than 16800 MW.
