SJVN, a state-owned power company, announced that it has won a 100 megawatt (MW) grid-connected solar power project in Gujarat through a tariff-based competitive bidding process conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL).
According to the official press release, the project will create 245.28 million units of energy each year, with a total energy output of around 6,132 million units during a 25-year period.
GUVNL will acquire the energy generated by this project for 25 years, according to the statement, and a power purchase agreement between SJVN and GUVNL will be finalised soon. The estimated cost of the project is around Rs 500 crore.
