SJVN Ltd awarded Tata Power Solar, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power, the largest single solar EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) deal in India.
This project, which spans 5,000 acres of land in Rajasthan, seeks to reduce 22.8 lakh kg of carbon emissions while also generating 2,500 million units yearly.
The EPC contract, worth Rs 5,500 crore, includes the use of Indian-made cells and modules.
The project will be built under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s CPSU plan and will take 24 months to complete.
