Six firms submit bids for Revas–Karanja Bridge’s Work Near Mumbai

After the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) opened technical bids, six firms submitted bids for the civil construction of a new 2.04 km bridge between Revas and Karanja over Dharamtar Creek.

The construction of this four-lane bridge on SH-4 (Revas – Reddi Coastal Highway) in Raigad District will reduce the driving distance between Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) and Alibaug from approximately 55 kilometres to 30 kilometres.

The 29.50m wide bridge will have an 80 kmph design speed and a 1.5m wide footpath on either side. A 5.13 km approach road will be built in Karanja, while a 1.71 km road on stilts will be built in Revas.

MSRDC had invited tenders for its civil construction in October 2022 with a Rs. 897.68 croreestimate and 1080 day (2.95 year) completion deadline.
