One of the top producers of Aerated Autoclaved Concrete (AAC) blocks, bricks, and panels, BigBloc Construction Limited, has finished acquiring land for its joint venture with SIAM Cement Group (SCG).
A three lakh cbm per year facility for ALC panels and AAC blocks would be built on the purchased land close to Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
In 2023, the plant is anticipated to start producing commercially. Gujarat would receive SCG’s first FDI into India through this joint venture with Big Bloc.
With a presence in 20 countries, SCG International Corporation a part of SCG Group, a leading business conglomerate in ASEAN with assets of more than $27 billion will hold 48 per cent in the joint venture while 52 per cent will be held by Bigbloc Construction Limited. Total investment in the project is estimated at Rs 65 crore.
