Shreas Industries’ New Desalination Plant

Shreas Industries is planning to set up a new desalination plant in Narayana Gajapati Rajapuram village, Ranasthalam mandal, Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh. The project is aimed at establishing a desalination plant with a capacity of 110 million litres per day (MLD) to produce reverse osmosis (RO) permeate water with a capacity of 44 MLD. The project will involve the use of advanced technology and modern equipment to ensure efficient and effective water desalination. The plant’s construction will adhere to all the safety and environmental regulations to ensure that the process is carried out in a safe and controlled manner. The project is expected to cost approximately Rs.1100 million. As of March 2023, the company has obtained consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project. The clearance signifies that the company has fulfilled all the necessary regulatory requirements and will now be able to move forward with the construction of the desalination plant. The plant will contribute significantly to the region’s water resources, as it will provide clean and safe drinking water to the local population. The project will also create job opportunities for skilled and unskilled workers during the construction phase and after the plant becomes operational. The establishment of the desalination plant will benefit the local community by improving the water supply and helping to boost the region’s economic growth.
