The 1,200 megawatt (MW) ISTS-connected wind-solar hybrid projects will be set by project developers chosen by the state-run Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
The hybrid power developer (HPD) must put up the energy storage system-enabled hybrid projects (ESS). For every 100 MW of project capacity, an obligatory ESS with a minimum 100 MWh capacity must be implemented. The deadline for bid submission is December 14.
Under the tariff-based competitive bidding, the projects include a guaranteed peak power supply in India on a Build Own Operate (B-O-O) basis (Tranche-VI). The hybrid power developer must be responsible for connectivity and Long-Term Open Access.
