Seacoast Shipping Services bags approval to develop coastal movement of containers

Gujarat Port and Logistics Company (GPLCL), a SUP launched by Gujarat Maritime Board, has accepted a proposal made by Seacoast Shipping Services (SSSL) for enhancing coastal movement of containers and bulk goods from minor ports to larger ports via sea route by bogies.

The aforementioned project will be the first step in the Government of India’s Sagar Mala Scheme to reduce land traffic, which will be beneficial to the environment and will be a high-cost-effective exim commerce that will play a significant role in the economy.

The aforesaid project will generate substantial revenue, resulting in a turnover of over Rs 200 crore in addition to the current business, and will be able to employ 100 people.
