In the coming months, the Rajasthan Small Industries Corporation (RSIC) intends to build an air cargo complex at the Dabok airport in Udaipur to ease the import and export of goods.
Currently, for import and export needs, businesspeople based in the lake city of Udaipur and surrounding areas must travel to Ahmedabad or Jaipur.
The ministry of civil aviation has given in-principle clearance to a proposal that RSIC, a government of Rajasthan venture, submitted. Land has also been identified for the project.
The complex will soon begin construction, according to RSIC Chairman Rajiv Arora, and it should be completed by the beginning of next year.
