The Chandigarh railway station is being renovated with more passenger conveniences.
The Chandigarh train station refurbishment proposal has been solicited by the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA).
The project is expected to cost roughly Rs 385 crore. The project will take 15 months to complete. On August 2, 2022, the RLDA will issue a call for bids for the project.
The project’s proposed designs include for building a large, rectangular plaza on the Chandigarh side.
Additionally, it suggests designating a separate space for both automobile and pedestrian activity. According to the design of the current station buildings, the station building on the Panchkula side will also be updated.
