Redlemon Technologies is planning to establish a new compressed biogas plant in Domora Pathar, Sonapur, Kamrup, Assam. The project aims to produce 5 TPA of compressed biogas from raw materials such as cattle-dung, municipal solid waste, and other organic matter. In March 2023, the Assam Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the project. The company plans to commence operations in November 2023. Once operational, the plant will contribute towards the production of clean energy and help in managing organic waste effectively in the region. Compressed biogas (CBG) is a clean and renewable energy source that can be produced from various types of organic waste, including agricultural residues, municipal solid waste, and sewage sludge. The establishment of more CBG plants will not only help India achieve its renewable energy targets but also address waste management issues and create employment opportunities in rural areas.
