Rajasthan government allocates Rs 1,185 crore for extension of Mansarovar – Badi Chaupar metro corridor

The Rajasthan government has allocated Rs 1,185 crore to extend the Mansarovar to Badi Chaupar metro corridor at both ends for construction of roughly 4.85 kilometres, in order to connect two vital highways — Ajmer and Agra roads — with the metro train network.

The East-West metro corridor in Jaipur would be extended from Badi Chaupar to Transport Nagar, according to the Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation. Similarly, plans are in the works to build a 2 kilometre elevated stretch from Mansarovar station to the 200-Feet Bypass junction on Ajmer Road in order to give Metro connectivity until the 200-Feet Bypass junction.

The present 12 km east-west corridor from Mansarovar to Badi Chaupar will be extended to roughly 17 km once completed. The corporation has previously issued a detailed project report (DPR) for phase-1C from Badi Chaupar to Transport Nagar and solicited public input.
