Rail Vikas Nigam Limited emerged as the lowest bidder in all three packages of Chennai Metro Rail Project Phase-2.
The scope of work under contract package UG-03/RT-01 includes construction of five underground stations at KMC, Sterling Road Junction, Nungambakkam, Gemini, Thousan Lights and Thousand Lights Crossover and works other than diaphragm wall of two underground stations at Royapettah Govt hospital and Chetpet Metro in connection with Corridor 3 of Chennai Metro Rail Project Phase 2.
Apart from this there are also the Package UG-04/RT-01 and package UG-05/RT-01 works.
The revised tender notice for the all above contract packages were issued in December 2021 with 1725 days work completion deadline. Technical bids were opened in March 2023.
