Pricol in deal with France’s BMS PowerSafe

Coimbatore-based Pricol, a provider of automotive technology, has established an exclusive technical agreement with BMS PowerSafe, a subsidiary of the Startec Energy Group in France, to produce battery management systems (BMS) for all types of electric vehicles.

To produce and distribute BMS for the Indian market, Pricol and BMS PowerSafe have formed a global licence agreement. In accordance with the agreement, BMS PowerSafe will work with Pricol to build the software and deliver an end-to-end solution using its BMS platform.

Vikram Mohan, MD, Pricol said, “As part of our EV-specific growth strategy, we constantly evaluate business opportunities in the market to provide the best solution to OEMs. One of the areas we zoned in was the BMS as it plays a vital role in any EV vehicle and complements well with our driver information system class of products in terms of integrations.
