The state-run Power Grid said that its board had accepted a number of initiatives, including investing 4,860.06 crore in three transmission projects and establishing a joint venture business with the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
The board of directors of the transmission juggernaut accepted the plans on Wednesday.
“Investment approval for transmission network expansion in Gujarat to increase ATC from ISTS: Part B at an estimated cost of Rs 4,546.26 crore scheduled to be commissioned by June 2023,” it said in a filing to stock exchanges.
An anticipated cost of 186.19 crore has been approved for investment in the development of Gujarat’s transmission network to boost ATC from ISTS, Part C.
This project is expected to be completed in time for GETCO’s construction of the 400/ 220kV Prantij S/s and 400kV Sankhari- Prantij D/c line. It was stated that the current completion date is March 2025.
