As part of its expansion strategy for 2022, Pondy Oxides and Chemicals Limited plans to build an aluminium recycling and melting facility at its current location in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, with a projected total investment of Rs. 5.00 crore in pollution control equipment.
The company has identified a chance to recycle Aluminum with a view to expanding its range of non-ferrous metals beyond Lead and Copper. In this regard, the Company has secured Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board’s Consent for Establishment to manufacture 14,750 MT/year of aluminium and aluminium alloys (ingots, pellets, molten).
Consequently, the company is in the process for implementing all the relevant state of the art machinery, and targeted to have it installed and commissioned for production around December 2022. This would also help the Company to meet the demand(s) and consolidate its position in the market.
