Pondy Oxides and Chemicals Limited has inked a USD 12 million equipment supply and licence arrangement with Ace Green Recycling Inc., a Delaware Corporation in the United States, to build the world’s largest greenhouse gas (GHG) emission-free battery recycling factory in Andhra Pradesh, India.
ACE Green Recycling is a battery recycling technology firm with offices in Singapore and the United States. It has created a commercialised lead-acid battery recycling technology that produces no greenhouse gas emissions.
POCL is the first firm in the industrial arena to apply this technology to convert spent lead-acid batteries into lead ingots.
