The formal start date for the Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar Metro corridor will be announced this week, according to the Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (PMRDA).
The land acquisition procedure for the corridor is nearly complete, according to PMRDA officials, and the University flyover proposal has received in-principle permission from the Pune Municipal Corporation, opening the way for the project’s concessionaire, Tata-Siemens, to commence construction.
According to a PMRDA official, the project must be completed in three years and four months from the start date.
