Paradeep Phosphates to increase non-urea fertilizer production capacity

Through de-bottlenecking at its existing unit in Paradeep, Odisha, fertiliser manufacturer Paradeep Phosphates Ltd is increasing production capacity of its non-urea fertilisers such as di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) and NPK (Nitrogen-Phosphorus-Potassium) by nearly 50% to 1.8 million tonnes (mt) from the current 1.2 mt.

The expansion would be finished in May 2022. In addition, the firm is in the midst of boosting its phosphoric acid production by 120,000 tonnes and installing a new evaporator to raise annual strong phosphoric acid output by 116,000 tonnes. Phosphoric acid manufacturing would be fully expanded by the middle of 2022.
