Panasonic Life Solutions India, a fully owned subsidiary of Panasonic Corporation, opened a new manufacturing plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.
By delivering quick material delivery and customer happiness, the facility intends to increase the company’s footprint in the Southern Region and build market synergies.
The ‘highly automated’ facility spans 133,584 square metres, with a present floor space of 37,025 square metres. This will be the company’s first electrical equipment production facility in Southern India, and its ninth overall, with sites in the North and West to follow.
The corporation plans to invest Rs 600 crore in two phases, with the first phase costing Rs 300 crore.
