The state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) said that it has inked an agreement with Equinor ASA, a Norwegian energy behemoth, for partnership in oil and gas exploration and production as well as sustainable energy initiatives. The business said in a statement that the memorandum of agreement (MoU) was signed on April 26.
It is for “collaboration and partnership in areas of upstream exploration and production, midstream, downstream, and renewable energy choices, including carbon capture, utilisation, and sequestration (CCUS),” according to the agreement.
Equinor is the largest operator on the Norwegian continental shelf, with operations in more than 30 countries across the world.
