Okinawa to invest Rs 500 crore to build EV manufacturing facility in Karoli

Okinawa Autotech, a maker of electric two-wheelers, stated that it will invest Rs 500 crore to build an EV manufacturing facility in Karoli, Rajasthan.

This third production facility from the firm, which will be situated on 30 acres of land, follows the construction of two facilities in Rajasthan.

The fully integrated electric two-wheeler facility will begin operating in October 2023, according to a statement made by the company. Additionally, it was stated that the facility will employ approximately 5,000 workers.

Okinawa stated that the factory would be completely automated for the production of electric two-wheelers in addition to the automation for the production of powertrains.

Additionally, this facility will have an internal motor and controller plant and an autonomous robotic battery production unit.
