The Odisha government has authorised 11 industrial projects worth Rs. 2840.73 crore that would create jobs for more than 3700 people.
The 11 proposals were authorised by the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), which is led by Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena. Nine of the submissions came from companies who took part in the Make in Odisha Conclave 2022.
The districts of Bolangir, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh will host the construction of the approved projects.
The Aditya Birla Group’s Utkal Alumina International Ltd. and Hindalco Industries Ltd.’s expansion plans in the Rayagada area and Lapanga, Sambalpur, respectively, which call for a combined investment of around Rs 1,000 crore, have been authorised by the state government.
The state has also approved the proposal of RCR Steel Works Private Ltd, entailing an investment of Rs 896.98 crore, to set up a steel plant at Jamda in Mayurbhanj district.
