The Odisha government has given in-principle clearance to eight projects with a total investment of Rs 1,872.11 crore and employment prospects for 3,461 people as part of its industrialization drive, officials said.
The decision came during a meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) chaired by Chief Secretary SC Mahapatra.
The bids come primarily from the food processing, agriculture, animal husbandry, petroleum products, steel, and downstream manufacturing sectors, according to Principal Secretary Industry Hemant Sharma. The proposers are reputable investors, and their participation will give the sectors a boost, according to Sharma.
