Ocior Energy, a company that specializes in the production of renewable energy, is planning to undertake a new project in Kutuch, Gujarat. The project involves the establishment of a green hydrogen and green ammonia plant, with a capacity of 1 million tonnes per annum. Green hydrogen is a type of hydrogen that is produced using renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, or hydro power, while green ammonia is produced using green hydrogen and nitrogen from the air. Both green hydrogen and green ammonia are considered to be sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives to conventional hydrogen and ammonia production methods. The project is estimated to cost Rs. 400000 million, which is a significant investment. However, the company is committed to advancing sustainable energy production in India and believes that this project will help to achieve this goal. As of March 2023, Ocior Energy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the state government of Gujarat for the project. This is an important step towards the realization of the project, as it signifies the government’s support and cooperation in facilitating the project’s development.
