Ocior Energy to invest Rs 40,000 crore in green hydrogen, ammonia at Gujarat

With an investment of Rs 40,000 crore, the Gujarat government and Ocior Energy India Pvt Ltd inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the generation of green hydrogen and green ammonia. According to the agreement, which was inked in front of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Ocior Energy will spend Rs 40,000 crore to build a facility in Gujarat’s Kutch district that will create 1 million tonnes of green hydrogen and ammonia annually. It further stated that the renewable energy project would be operational in two parts by 2030 and that it would create close to 10,400 jobs, both directly and indirectly.
