NTPC and the Government of Rajasthan signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the construction of a 10 GW Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Park in Rajasthan with the goal of reaching the objective of 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032.
Bhanwar Singh Bhati, the energy minister for Rajasthan, was present at the MOU signing event.
The Ministry of Power reports that, less than two years after its establishment, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited has acquired 4 GW of renewable energy capacity by participation in many contracts that are now being implemented at various levels.
Additionally, NTPC REL is developing one UMREPP of 4.75 GW capacity in Rann of Kutch, Gujarat and NTPC REL has entered into a joint venture agreement with DVC for developing RE Parks and projects.
