A Letter of Intent (LoI) has been signed between the state-run NHPC Ltd and Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Ltd, according to the stock exchanges (RRECL).
The agreement was signed in the presence of chief minister Ashok Gehlot and calls for the establishment of 10,000 megawatts of renewable energy projects in the state.
YK Chaubey, NHPC technical director, and Subodh Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretary, Mines & Petroleum Department & Energy Department, Chairman & Managing Director, RRECL, and Chairman, Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd, signed the letter of intent.
NHPC said that it is increasing its renewable energy portfolio and has begun work on a number of green projects in various forms.
