The NHPC has issued a tender for the construction of the 500 MW Dugar Hydroelectric Project. The power plant is located in Luj Village, Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba district.

Chenab River enters Pangi valley of Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh near Bhujind and leaves the district at SansariNala to enter Paddar valley of Kashmir.
The sources of runoff in the Chenab basin are both rain and snowmelt. Chenab is the sub-basin of the Indus River System.
