State-owned NHPC has awarded Tata Power Solar Systems a 300 MW solar project costing Rs 1,731 crore.
“Tata Power Solar Systems, one of India’s leading integrated solar enterprises and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power, has received an order from NHPC for a 300 MW solar project costing Rs 1,731 crore, inclusive of tax,” according to a statement from the company.
The project location, which is located in Rajasthan, would be built under IREDA’s CPSU (Central Public Sector Undertaking) system, according to the announcement (Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency).
The project, which is expected to be completed within 18 months, aims to reduce around 6,36,960 carbon emissions, and is expected to generate approximately 750 million units annually. Cells and modules made in India would be used in the project installation.
