A six-lane, brand-new highway connecting Varanasi, Ranchi, and Kolkata has been invited for bids by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
The scope of work comprises building the six-lane greenfield Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata Highway in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar on HAM, from the intersection with NH-19 and Varanasi Ring Road near Rewasa village to the junction with Chandauli-Cainpur road near Khainti village.
The project is expected to cost Rs 988.24 crore.
Another tender involves construction of six-lane greenfield Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata Highway from junction with Chandauli-Chainpur Road near Khainti village to junction with Bhabhua-Adhaura Road near Palka village (27.000 km – 54.000 km) under BMP in Bihar.
