Pune airport is currently constructing a new integrated terminal building with increased capacity, which is expected to be finished by August 2023. Officials claim that at least 55 percent of the work has been performed so far.
The intended completion date was originally set for August 2022, however it was later pushed back to January 2023.
Officials claim that once completed, the new terminal building would alleviate airport congestion during peak hours. The airport terminal building is being built at a cost of Rs 475 crore by the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
