• AIC Iron Industries is planning to take up steel plant expansion project in Village: Benipur, P.O.: Saltor, P.S.: Neturia, Purulia, West Bengal. The project involves installation of 1×400 TPD DRI Kiln, 3×15 T Induction Furnaces with matching LRF & CCM, 0.192 MTPA Rolling Mill with 1×15 TPH Reheating Furnace and 13 MW capacity. The production capacity of sponge iron plant – 1×400 TPD DRI Kiln (1,32,000 TPA Sponge Iron), induction furnaces with matching LRF & CCM – 3×15 T (1,46,000 TPA Billets), rolling mill – 1,92,000 TPA structural steels (Angles,Channels, Joist, TMT Bars, Wire Rod, Strips & Pipes etc.) with 1×15 TPH reheating furnace, captive power plant – 13 MW (9 MW WHRB + 4 MW AFBC). The estimated cost of the project is Rs.1250 million. As of January 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
• Bhaskar Steel And Ferro Alloy is planning to take up new sponge iron project in Rajamunda, Badtumkela, Sundargarh, Orissa. The project involves processing of sponge iron (180000 MT) and WHRB power plant (24 MW). The company has filed industrial entrepreneurs’ memorandum on December 2019. On March 2020, the project is in planning stage. As of June 2020, project involves expansion of existing steel plant from 0.1 MTPA billet to 0.26 MTPA billet out of which 0.132 MTPA to be converted to TMT rods with investment Rs.2700 Million. The proposal has been submitted to the ministry of environment and clearance for getting final environment clearance for the project. As of June 2020, the company is in the process of getting final environment clearance for the project.
• Eloquent Steel is planning to take up steel plant expansion project in NakraJoria, P.O.: Salanpur, Paschim bardhaman, West Bengal. The project involves production of 336,000 TPA billets and production of 210,000 TPA rolled products (Long products TMT Bar, MS Round & Wire Rod) by modification of existing 4×7 Ton Induction Furnace to 4×8 Ton, installation of new 2×8 Ton & 2×25 Ton induction furnaces, 600 TPD rolling mill, 1 x 25 TPH reheating furnace, 1×25 TPH briquette plant for production of 150,000 TPA briquette, 1×300 TPD sinter plant for production of 108,000 TPA sinter and addition of “Pig Iron’ as product from the existing 3×7.5 MVA + 1×5.5 MVA submerged arc furnaces with maximum production capacity of 76,400 TPA within the existing premises of 9.089 Ha. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.1200 million. As of May 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
• Pawanputra Steels is planning to setup New Steel Manufacturing Unit in Sirhind, Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. The project proposes to install a new steel manufacturing unit with three Induction Furnaces of capacity 3X15 TPH, a Concast Machine
  & a Rolling Mill to manufacture Steel Ingots/Billets – 1,78,200 TPA Round, Coil, Flats, Wire Rod, TMT Bars – 1,70,000 TPA ha. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.300 million. As of July 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
• Sharu Special Alloys (Unit-II) is planning to take up new steel manufacturing unit in Mehlon, Lakhowal-Kohara road, Ludhiana, Punjab. The project involves setting up steel manufacturing unit with capacity 127800 TPA of steel billets, 125000 TPA of round, MS bar flats,TMT bars, Wire rod, Etc. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.225 million. As of August 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
• Avanta Engineerings is planning to take up a non ferrous GI wires manufacturing expansion project in CSIDC, Engineering Park, Heavy Industrial Area, Hathkhoj, Bhilai, Durg, Chhattisgarh . The project involves expansion in existing plant for Non ferrous GI wires (Aluminium & Zinc Coated Wires & Strips) capacity – 12,000 TPA to 26,200 TPA, establishment of Wire drawing unit – 45,000 MT/Year, Barbed wire unit – 4800 MT/Year and coal gasifier of capacity – 1750 Nm3/hour. As of August 2020, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project
• Jagriti Steel is planning to take up a billets/ingots expansion project in Veerlapally, Kothur, Rangareddy, Telangana. The project involves expanding the billets/ingots (from 21000 TPA to 75000 TPA), induction furnace 2*2 TPH and 1*9 TPH, rerolling mill TMT-70 TPD and DG set 1*320 KVA & 1*125 KVA. The project is estimated to cost Rs.30 million. As of August 2020, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project
• Phil Ispat is planning to take up sponge iron unit expansion project in Dighora, Takhatpur, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. The project involves expansion of sponge iron unit from 60,000 TPA to 1,75,500 TPA and installation of new induction furnace to manufacture 1,53,000 TPA of MS Ingots / Billets, New Rolling Mill to manufacture 1,53,000 TPA of TMT bars /structural steel/rolled products & powerplant- 18 MW (WHRB-12 MW& FBC-6 MW). The estimated cost of the project is Rs.1850 million. In Feb 2005, the project was submitted for the first level of environmental clearance. As of August 2020, the project has been given final environmental clearance by ministry of Environment and forest.
• Kapila Metals is planning to take up new metal processing unit in Jalna, Maharashtra. The project involves setting up of a Steel product manufacturing unit with 11.6 Hectares for producing 30000 TPM Iron & Iron Products offers an Debt Funding. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.8982.9 million. The supplier of the project Siemens Ltd and Electrotherm India Ltd. The project is being developed through the Turnkey route. On August 2020, the project is in under development stage. As of June 2021, project involves installation of 2 MTPA pellet plant and capacity enhancement of sponge iron plant from 1000 TPD to 3000 TPD, capacity enhancement of power plant (WHRB) from 24 MW to 74 MW and AFBC from 36 MW to 51 MW and installation of ferro-alloy unit to manufacture 60,000 TPA (Ferro Manganese/Silico Manganese) by installing 2X18 MVA submerged arc furnace; and expansion of billets from 1000 TPD to 3000 TPD & TMT bars from 1000 TPD to 3000 TPD with investment of Rs.13000 Million. The environment clearance for the project is underway.
