OSISL’s Steel Plant Expansion Project
Orissa Sponge Iron & Steel is planning to take up steel plant expansion project in Palaspanga, Keonjhar, Odisha. The project involves expanding of existing 0.15 MTPA sponge iron plant by addition of 2.5 MTPA beneficiation plant and 2.0 MTPA pellet plant. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.5000 million.On July 2019, environment clearance for the project is underway. As of October 2021, project involves expansion of existing plant from capacity sponge iron – 2,60,000 TPA to 6,76,500 TPA, billets – 1,00,000 TPA to 7,00,000 TPA, CPP – 37.2 MW to 102.2 MW with addition of hot rolling mill – 5,00,000 TPA, reheating furnace (standby) – 1×25 TPH, cold rolling mill – 5,00,000 TPA (Galvanized sheets & Colour Coated sheets) with investment Rs.8000 Million. The environment clearance for the project is underway.
Sanmargg Coldstorage’s New Coldstorage Construction Project
Sanmargg Coldstorage is planning to take up a new cold storage construction project in TTC Industrial Area, MIDC Turbhe, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. The project involves construction of cold storage only for storage of all types of grains and vegetable 3200 MT/M . The project is estimated to cost Rs.89.9 million. As of October 2021, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project.
