A manufacturing facility has been established by ELGI Sauer Compressors Ltd, a joint venture between Elgi Equipments Ltd and the Sauer Compressors Group, a company based in Germany, at a cost of roughly Rs 400 million.
The factory, which is nearby in Kallapalayam and covers 50,000 square feet, will produce cutting-edge high-pressure compressors, pressure-reducing stations, and portable breathing air compressors for the industrial, shipping, marine, and offshore markets, according to officials.
An engineering centre would be housed at the production facility to assist the Sauer Compressors Group internationally.
CEO of ELGI Sauer Compressors Ltd. SatishKini stated in a news release that “this is an important milestone in our journey towards market leadership and sustained business growth for ELGI Sauer Compressors in India.”
“This factory with expanded manufacturing capacity will help us further consolidate the engineering, indigenisation and product support capabilities of both constituent entities and create a strong aftermarket network,” he said.
