- The Odisha Mining Corporation is planning to take up Iron ore mining project in Gandhamardan Mines, Suakati, Keonjhar, Orissa. The project involves mining of iron ore with capacity of 9 MTPA. The company has filed industrial entrepreneurs’ memorandum on January 2021. As of April 2021, the project is in planning stage.
- GM lron & Steel Company is planning to take up new iron ore mining project in Village: Dhangudimuta, and Badampahar RF PO/PS- Badampahar under Tehsil-Kusumi, Mayurbhanj, Odisha. The project involves production of 1.137 MTPA iron ore (ROM) with maximum excavation of 1.23 Million Cum per Annum through opencast mining at Badampahar Iron Ore Block {ML Area: 128.427 Ha (as per DGPS) / 129.61 Ha (as per ROR)}. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.450 million. As of April 2021, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Shanti G.D. Ispat & Power is planning to take up Guguldoh manganese ore block mining project in Village: Guguldoh, Manegaon, Taluka: Ramtek, Nagpur, Maharashtra. The project involves mining of manganese ore at 3,06,065 Tonnes at peak production level with corresponding removal of 85,211 cum of soil and 37,04,500 cum of overburden by conventional mechanized opencast mining methodology using drilling & blasting, excavators and tippers. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.183.4 million. As of August 2021, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Vedanta is planning to take up Iron ore mine expansion project in Villages: Megalahally, Bommavvana Gattihally, Chowdenahally, Tanigehally, Hire Kandavadi, Chitradurga, Karnataka. The project involves expansion for mining of iron ore from 6 to 7.2 MTPM. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.2266.4 million. As of August 2021, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Prakash Industries is planning to take up new Eklama (Kawardha) iron ore mine in Ekalama (Kawardh), Dist. Kabirdham, Chhattisgarh. The project involves mining of Eklama (Kawardha) iron ore mine over an area of 274.896 Hect. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.948.4 million. On March 2021, forest clearance for the project is underway. As of June 2021, project involves mining iron ore 1.2 MTPA, overburden 0.106 MTPA, sub grade / mineral rejects 0.558 MTPA and crusher -300 TPH. The environment clearance for the project is underway.
