- Gogte Minerals is planning to take up new redi iron ore mining expansion project in Redi Village (Mhartale, Kanyale & Bombadojiwadi), Vengurla Taluka, Sindhudurg, Maharshtra. The project involves increase the production capacity from its present level of 0.368 million tonnes per annum to 1.1 million tonnes per annum and also the annexation of an area of 12.9628 Ha. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.145.5 million. As of February 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Odisha Mining Corporation is planning to take up new Rantha iron ore mining project in Orissa. The project involves mining of iron ore occurring in the retained area over 268.84 Hectares (Ha) out of the mining lease 408.832 ha. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.520.48 million. As of March 2020, forest clearance for the project is underway.
- Essel Mining & Industries is planning to take up new Kimberlite Ore mining project in Buxwaha Protected Forest, Sagoria, Buxwaha Tehsil, Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh. The project involves mining of 5 MTPA ore processing plant, 3.70 MTPA of soil + 16.34 MTPA of overburden waste. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.25000 million. As of April 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Odisha Mining Corporation is planning to take up Sukurangi chromite ore mining expansion project in Sukurangi , Jajpur, Odisha. The project involves expanding the Sukurangi chromite ore mine from 130000 TPA to 300000 TPA. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.320 million. In Dec 2008, the project was submitted for the first level of environmental clearance, Public Hearing on Nov 2018. As of July 2020, the project has been given final environmental clearance by ministry of Environment and forest
- Shri Bajrang Power and Ispat is planning to take up new Chhotedongar iron ore mine in Chhotedongar, Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh. The project involves mining of Chhotedongar Iron Ore Mine for a maximum capacity of 3,00,960 TPA. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.120 million. As of August 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- JSW Steel is planning to take up new Nuagaon iron ore mine in Nuagaon, Barapada, Gandhalpada, Guali, Katesahi, Parediposi, KohlaRudukela, Panduliposhi and Topadihi villages under Barbil Tehsil, Keonjhar, Odisha. The project involves mining of iron ores with capacity 20 MTPA with total excavation of 22.013 MTPA (ROM 20 MTPA + OB/SB/IB 2.013 MTPA) with screening, crushing, 4500 TPH Central processing unit (CPU) and 30 MTPA Grinding & desliming/beneficiation plant along with 30 MTPA slurry transportation system. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.6830 million. As of October 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Tata Steel Mining is planning to take up new Sukinda Chromite block in Kalarangiatta, Kaliapani, Mahulkhal & Forest Block No. 27, Tehsil- Sukinda, Jajpur, Odisha. The project involves enhancement of 2.4 million TPA of chrome ore ROM and 0.072 million TPA of pyroxenite ore ROM with maximum excavation of 6.56 million cum per annum through opencast & underground mining from Sukinda Chromite block. The estimated cost of the project is Rs. million. As of October 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Tata Steel Mining is planning to take up new Kamarda Chromite block in Talangi, Kamarda & Balipada, Tehsil- Sukinda, Jajpur, Odisha. The project involves development of Kamarda Chromite Block (ML Area: 107.240 Ha) for Production of 0.30 MTPA Chrome Ore (ROM) with maximum Excavation of 2.50 Million Cum Per Annum through Opencast Mining. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.835 million. As of October 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Tata Steel Mining is planning to take up new Saruabil Chromite block in Villages- Saruabil,Kamarda and Tailangi, Tehsil- Sukinda, Jajpur, Odisha. The project involves development of Saruabil Chromite Block (ML Area: 246.858 Ha) for production of 1.0 MTPA Chromite Ore (ROM) With Maximum Excavation of 6.48 Million Cum per Annum through Opencast Mining. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.1799.1 million. As of November 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
