- Prism Johnson is planning to take up in new RSW glass block manufacturing project in A.B. Road, In Front Of Malwa Strips, Dewas, Madhya Pradesh. The project involves manufacturing of RSW glass block with capacity 5000 Kg. The company has filed industrial entrepreneurs’ memorandum on October 2020. As of February 2021, the project is in planning stage.
- Borosil Renewables is planning to take up solar glass production expansion project in Gujarat. The project involves brownfield expansion to more than double its solar glass production capacity from 450 tonnes per day (TPD) to 950 TPD. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.2000 million. On February 2021, pre project activities are going on. As of April 2021, project involves expanding the production capacity of solar glass by an additional 1000 tonnes per day along with all processing capabilities in one or two phases with investment of Rs.10000 Million. The board of directors approved the project.
- Kochhar Glass is planning to take up in new glass manufacturing project in Khejra, Jamunia, Raisen, Madhya Pradesh. The project involves manufacture of glass in primary or semi-manufactured forms (such as sheets & plate glass) including mirror sheets and wired, coloured, tinted, toughened or laminated glass 200000 Sqmtr. The company has filed industrial entrepreneurs’ memorandum on November 2020. As of March 2021, the project is in planning stage.
- Gold Plus Glass Industry is planning to take up float glass lines manufacturing expansion project Roorkee, Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The project involves expanding the capacity by 700,000 tonnes a year add two float glass lines and one solar glass line to its existing capacity. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.23000 million. As of May 2021, the company is already in discussion with Government authorities of at least two southern states for land allotment.
- HSIL (AGI Speciality Glas Division) is planning to take up a new glass bottles manufacturing project in Bhongir, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Telangana. The project involves setting up a unit for manufacturing Glass Bottles (140 TPD). The project is estimated to cost Rs.2300 million. As of June 2021, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project.
- Asahi India Glass is planning to take up new solar glass manufacturing plant in Mundra, Gujarat. The project involves setting up a solar glass manufacturing plant will have a phase-1 capacity of up to 3GW. The plant is expected to be commissioned within 18-24 months and AIS will take a minority stake in the business. As of August 2021, Company has partnered with Ahmedabad-based Vishakha Group to form this project.
