The booming IT corridor’s Sholinganallur neighbourhood is where the financial metropolis near Chennai, which is thought to be State deputy CM M K Stalin’s dream project, is most likely to be built ( Old Mahabalipuram road).
After the recent boom in investment in the automotive, information technology, and healthcare industries, this project is anticipated to be Chennai’s next growth engine.
The State-owned Tidco was designated as a nodal agency after Stalin made the suggestion known during the most recent Budget session. In the village of Sholinganallur-Perumbakkam, it had designated roughly 180 acres (now in the government’s hands) for the establishment of the city.
Stalin visited and inspected the site. He was accompanied by Industries secretary, M F Farooqui, Tidco Chairperson and MD, Anita Praveen and Kanchipuram collector, Santhosh K Mishra.
