New Fertilizers Project in India – 2020

Askins Biofuels is planning to take up new distillery project in Alagawadi Village, Raybag, Belgaum, Karnataka. The project involves establishment of 60 KLPD (Juice/ Syrup based) distillery, 6 TPD Bio CNG, 20 TPD fertilizer powder, 42 TPD CO2, captive Power generation of 3 KW/hr. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.802.9 million. As of January 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.

BEC Fertilizers is planning to take up fertilizer unit expansion project in Gunjkheda, Deoli, Wardha, Maharashtra. The project involves expanding the fertilizer unit, the production capacity increased from 66000 MTPA to 2 Lakhs MTPA. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.100 million. As of January 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.

Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative is planning to take up Kalol unit expansion project in GIDC Kalol, Gandhinagar, Gujarat The project involves modernization & expansion of existing fertilizer plant, Kalol Unit. The total production capacity of Urea from 6,02,250 MTPA to 6,75,000 MTPA while the total production capacity of Ammonia plant will remain the same i.e., 4,01,500 MTPA. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.500 million. As of January 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.

Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals is planning to take up new compounded nylon-6 chips manufacturing project in Fertilizernagar, Vadodara, Gujarat. The project involves manufacturing of compounded nylon-6 chips with capacity 17520 MTPA. The company has filed industrial entrepreneurs’ memorandum on December 2019. As of April 2020, the project is in planning stage.

Prism Crop Science is planning to take up a new fertilizer manufacturing unit in Lingojigudem, Choutuppal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Telangana. The project involves manufacturing of fertilizers with capacity 390 TPD. The project is estimated to cost Rs.20 million. As of May 2020, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project

Preksha Agro Industries is planning to take up chemical fertilizer manufacturing unit expansion project in Umarda, Jhamar kotda Road, tehsil-Girwa, Udaipur, Rajasthan. The project involves manufacturing of chemical fertilizer with capacity 1966.6 TPD. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.138.7 million. As of June 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.

Sai Fertilizer is planning to take up new single super phosphate expansion project in Dewanmara Aima, Kharagpur, West Medinipur, West Bengal. The project involves expanding the single super phosphate from 0.132 MTPA to 0.264 MTPA. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.16.7 million. As of July 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.

Madhya Bharat Agro Products is planning to take up a beneficial rock phosphate expansion project in Industrial Area, Village: Sourai, Tal : Banda, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. The project involves expanding the manufacturing capacity beneficial rock phosphate (99,000 MT), Complex Fertilizer 1,20,000 MT, GSSP (Zincated / Boronated/Zinc plus Boron) 1,80,000 MT, Phosphoric Acid 19,800 MT, SSP (Zincated and boronated) 80,000 MT, Etc. The project is estimated to cost Rs.140 million. As of August 2020, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project

Indorama India is planning to take up fertilizer plant expansion project in Durgachak, Haldia, Purba Medinipur, West Bengal. The project involves expanding the fertilizer plant to produce SAP: 313500 MTPA, DAP: 759000 MTPA or NPK: 1809000 MTPA, Ammonium Sulphate: 31000 MTPA, CPP: 10.17 MW. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.5500 million. As of August 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
