- Someshwar Sugars is planning to take up new distillery unit in Vijayapura, Karnataka. The project involves setting up new molasses based distillery unit for production of Ethanol / Extra Neutral Alcohol of capacity 180 KLPD along with 8 MW Co-generation power plant. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.2817.3 million. As of February 2021, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Bhoramdeo Sahakari Shakkar Karkhana Maryadit Kawardh and Chhattisgarh Distillery Limited’s subsidiary NKJ Biofuel was signed for setting up Ethanol Plant in Chhattisgarh under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. The ethanol plant will prove to be important in ensuring timely payment of sugarcane price to farmers and ensuring full utilization of sugar factory capacity. As of January 2021, Chhattisgarh government on Tuesday signed a contract execution (MoU) for the project.
- Shree Renuka Sugars is planning to take up ethanol production expansion project in India. The project involves expanding the production capacity of ethanol from 720 KLPD to 1000 KLPD. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.2040 million. On February 2021, environment clearance for the project is underway. As of July 2021, project involves project involves expanding production capacity by 430-kilo litre per day to 1,400-kilo litre per day. The board has approved the project.
- Haripriyaa Agro Energy is planning to take up new distillery unit in Gujarwadi (Palshi), Tal. Koregaon, Satara, Maharashtra. The project involves establish the multi alone distillery of molasses based/ Juice to ethanol based unit with capacity 45 KLPD. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.800 million. As of February 2021, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Satral Chemicals is planning to take up new multi feed distillery unit in Rahuri, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. The project involves setting up standalone multi feed distillery unit for production of Ethanol 90 KLPD, Extra Neutral Alcohol 90 KLPD, Rectified Spirit 90 KLPD (Molasses/ Juice to Ethanol or Grain based). The estimated cost of the project is Rs.900 million. As of March 2021, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Mahakaushal Sugar and Power Industries is planning to take up a new molasses based fuel ethanol plant in Bachai, Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh. The project involves establishment of molasses based fuel ethanol plant 60 KLD, Co Generation Plant 2.5 MW and Incineration Boiler 25 TPH. The project is estimated to cost Rs.450 million. As of March 2021, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project.
