- Bharat Coking Coal is planning to take up new Moonidih coal mine project in Dhanbad-Cum-Kenduadih-Cum-Jagta, Dhanbad, Jharkhand. The project involves mining of Moonidih coal mine with capacity 2.5 MTY. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.4689.1 million. As of July 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Central Coalfields is planning to take up new Piparwar underground coal project in Benti, Mangardaha, Chatra, Jharkhand. The project involves mining of Piparwar Underground coal mine in phase -I with capacity 0.87 MTY. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.3353.2 million. As of April 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Western Coalfields is planning to take up a new Dhankasa underground coal mining project in Dhankasa The: Amarwara, Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. The project involves mining of Dhankasa underground coal with capacity 1.2 Million MT/Year. As of May 2020, the company has received consent from the state pollution control authorities to establish the project
- Topworth Urja And Metals is planning to take up Marki Mangli-I coal mine expansion project in Pandharkawda, Zari-Jamani, Yavatmal, Maharashtra. The project involves expanding the Marki Mangli-I coal mine from 0.30 MTPA to 0.333 MTPA. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.1000 million. In Octber 2005, the project was submitted for the first level of environmental clearance and was accorded the same in June 2019. As of May 2020, the project has been given final environmental clearance by ministry of Environment and forest.
- Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam is planning to take up new Banardih coal mining project in Chandwa, Latehar, Jharkhand. The project involves mining of Banardih coal with capacity 12 MTPA. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.67500 million. As of June 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Tata Steel is planning to take up new Jamadoba underground coal mining project in Jamadoba, Dhanbad, Jharkhand. The project involves mining of underground coal with 927.17 Hectares to produce Mineral Fuels 0.34 TPA. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.132 million. The project require technology partner. The DPR/Feasibility Study in Progress. As of September 2020, the project is under development stage.
- Birla Corporation is planning to take up new Brahampuri coal mine in Pench Kanhan Coalfield, Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. The project involves mining of Brahampuri coal mine with capacity 0.36 MTPA (UG). The estimated cost of the project is Rs.1910 million. As of October 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Birla Corporation is planning to take up new Bikram coal mine in Burhar, Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh. The project involves mining of coal with capacity 0.36 MTPA by opencast & underground coal mining. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.2894.5 million. As of December 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
- Western Coalfields is planning to take up Sasti OC mine expansion project in Sasti & Mathra village, teh Rajura, Chandrapur, Maharashtra. The project involves expansion OCP for increase in ML area from 919.69 ha to 1120.48 ha keeping the existing production capacity of 2.50 MTPA. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.3715.929 million. As of December 2020, environment clearance for the project is underway.
