Navin Fluorine Advanced Sciences invests Rs 4.5 bn in new hydrofluoric acid facility

An investment of Rs 4.5 billion has been approved by Navin Fluorine Advanced Sciences Limited (NFASL), a fully-owned subsidiary of Navin Fluorine International Ltd, to establish a new hydrofluoric acid (HF) facility at Dahej.

The existing HF manufacturing factory in Surat, which has a capacity of about 20,000 tonnes per year, will be supplemented by the new facility, which will have a capacity of 40,000 tonnes annually.

In order to meet the rising demand for fluorochemicals across a number of industries, including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and renewable energy, the expansion project was initiated. This new investment will go a long way towards supplying the rising demand for HF, which is utilised extensively in these industries.

The project will be financed through a combination of internal accruals and debt. The decision to invest in this new capacity demonstrates the company’s commitment to expanding its production capabilities and providing high-quality fluorochemicals to its customers.
