The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) Executive Committee authorised eight projects totaling over Rs 638 crore at its 48th meeting.
The Director General, NMCG G Asok Kumar, served as the meeting’s chairman.
Four projects totalingRs 407.39 crore have been approved for pollution reduction in the Shamli district in an effort to clean River Hindon, a tributary of the River Yamuna.
These initiatives are a component of the extensive “Hindon Rejuvenation Plan.”
The projects that received approval are intended to stop the flow of contaminated water into the Krishni River.
